This 77 inch Panasonic Z8 is being framed as a strong value OLED with premium audio and picture processing at a lower price than comparable LG C5 deals. The built in Technics tuned speaker system, Dolby Vision and HDR10 plus support, natural color tuning, and strong upscaling for sub 4K content stand out, along with the 144 hertz panel and bright, high end feel. The main knocks are Fire TV, which is widely seen as clunky, ad heavy, and best bypassed with an external streamer, and the TV is also described as thick and weighty. A solid option if you want a feature rich OLED and can ignore the built in smart platform.

This is designed and made by Panasonic
Panasonic no longer manufacture any televisions. The TV Mexico factory was already sold.

Edit: TV is made in Malaysia, and it's made by Panasonic, according to one YouTube video.

How the hell to do you "wear down the internals?" It's all electronics, which don't wear. I'm typing this on a 10-year-old laptop that is 100% factory even though it has a mechanical HD.
Android OS has memory leaks and cashe's get full causing it to slow down the operating system, which can also slow down the basic functions of the TV. That is what he is referring to. Therefore not using the TV's os keeps things working properly longer. Apple TV's were the go to devices, now the ONN devices are a good second option.

I like how the price on this TV keeps dropping after I purchased it on black Friday... beach camera was kind enough to price match the best buy price, but I'd be pushing it for another discount...

crazy how the best buy price jumped up $4300...

The amount of misinformation in this thread is insane. Whoever said the point of OLED was thinness is making my brain melt. No one who buys a TV like this cares what OS it runs. They use an external box if for no other reason than performance of the apps. Comparing this to the LG B5 is laughable. This is arguably the best TV on the market. Period. It competes with the Samsung S95F, Sony Bravia 8 mk2, and LG G5. It is the same tandem OLED panel as the LG G5, with better processing and tuning. The same LG G5 that is $3499 right now on sale.

You started off strong but quickly joined the misinformation crowd. This is not the Z95B. This took a jump up from Z85A comparable B series and is more like LG C series tier with better audio.

There's a deal on tinfoil if you wanna make a hat
It's all fun and games until your TV looks like the one on Idiocracy with all the ads all over it. FireOS is well on the way to that nonsense, and it will only get worse.

But by all means, plug your "smart" TV into the internet. Just don't come crying when it gets all laggy to do even basic functions and has ads on it even when it's "off".

FireOS devices are NOT a slickdeal

Those reviews are NOT for this TV.

The whole beauty of an OLED is the thinness of the screen when viewed from the side! This is THICK for an OLED Wink Samsung really nailed it with their S95F OLED models.
... Until u add that soundbar

How would those problems not affect an ONN device, since it is Google TV, which is just a thinly modified Android OS? I have had a Sony Bravia 8 OLED for a year now using the built-in Google TV, and there has been no change in performance.

This post doesn't help. There are so many models out there that are a fraction of the price b/c the quality doesn't even come close.

Because the TVs basic functions (changing inputs, volume control, etc) are not reliant upon the Onn box, whereas they are reliant upon the built in Google TV OS. Sony tends to give their smart TVs some decent resources. But Hisense for example is a nightmare with lag.

Also not sure if this comes with the old firetv os or the new vega os. A major platform change like that for the built in TV OS is scary. Failed update can brick the TV. I pretty much don't connect the smart TV built in stuff to the internet and just use a dedicated streamer.
