Going to get the Slim case to try out. They both look a little bulky, but this one seems less bulky.

why is every "hard shell" case not actually a hard shell? Is there anything out there more solid / armored?

I have this case. It gets the job done, but it doesn't have a little flap to specifically protect the screen, which was something I got used to having on the case I used for my Switch 1.

How slim is this? Do you know if it would fit the Switch 2 with a grip case on it?

I'm not familiar with the grip case or how it forms around the switch, but mine is a pretty snug fit inside the case as is. There'm is some play once it is zipped up though.

Does anyone know if I can reuse a Switch 1 case? Or are the dimensions too different?

Switch 2 is significantly bigger than a Switch 1

You guys think Nintendo will ban me for this, since it's third party?

Hmm I just bought the powera slim case. Might just keep it as canceling at this point might be a hassle.

I found this one. Oddly enough by the same company. Seems to be pretty good.
Amazon Basic actually made a really awesome hard case for the Switch 1. It was solid plastic outside but a nice silicone inside to really absorb any shocks. Like a pelican case. It was great. But then I got a Satisfye grip and it wouldn't fit in there. Had to go in their custom case.

That's also the case that I got. They make another one as well, that's similar with joycon grips, but more expensive.

How do you like it? Is there enough padding to protect the console in there?

There's some little strips of rubber on the top and bottom on the interior to help keep it secure. I wish there was more padding, to be honest, but I'm satisfied with it. I feel it's good enough to toss in my bag but still wouldn't want to drop it on the ground or anything.
