Trash. Silver ends will basically weld to your hose bib if you leave it connected too long.

I leave this exact hose connected from May until November and there hasn't been an issue in 5 years.

It's a galvanic thing. Generally speaking inexpensive hoses will tend to use aluminum connections because they are cheaper but the aluminum doesn't play well with most spigots which tend to be brass/copper. The easy thing to do is apply a dielectric to the threads or simply provide a conductivity break like teflon tape.

Tempted to pick one up tomorrow. Seems to be a lot of negative reviews though, no?

JUST what I am wrestling with… lots available at the clearance price close by, but haven't heard anyone say ANYTHING positive about it yet, except the price… 😬

"contractor" grade anything is intended to be inexpensive. Like "contractor" grade grass seed - grows like mad and gets the job done but probably has lots of weeds and is an annual and will die after the first year.

lifetime warranty - but Home Depot is now filing for chapter 7.. hmmm

You read the title wrong:

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ho...00451.html

North American Builder's Supply, a Home Depot and Lowe's rival based in Illinois, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

No one knows who "North American Builder's Supply" is so they had to stick HD and Lowes in there otherwise no one would click on it.

Teflon tape isn't normally going to stay intact. It shreds when you screw them together.

Looks like this might be an Eastern US thing. Checked 10 Home Depot's in California near me and none of them have it in stock.

That's not my experience. I do at least 2 tight wraps and wrap it in a clockwise direction.

Nothing more aggravating than a crappy Apex hose. I've replaced all of mine with Flexzillla. They come on sale here off and on.

Picked it up for $20. They also had some nozzles marked down to $2.50 but checked out at $0.01 each. I should have picked up more than 2.

Home Depot pricing is geographically set. Because I use a VPN, pricing often changes when I log in to my Home Depot account. Calling customer care sometimes gets you a price adjustment on items found cheaper in a different part of the country.

I've read when items are marked to one penny they are supposed to be pulled from the shelves by employees first. Looks like there are frequent times when we might buy them before they got pulled. None of these within 50mi norcal.

Used to be a penny thread on here for items. It was great! Although could get frustrating trying to find them.
