They must have over-stocked or something. There's at least 10 at every store near me. At least 50 in total. They are everywhere.

I bet most of them are gone in the morning. People are crackheads.

There are videos showing how reset the ryobi 40v batteries. They also had a recall on some too.

FYI - they did not show this available at local store in TN yesterday, but this morning when I checked it said available at the $198 with two left. One had been opened and I told them no way. got a sealed one for $198. Had looked at the higher priced self propelled yesterday, but they did not have any.

Definitely worth a shot, but my understanding is that just buys you some extra time. Apparently these have a battery management system board on them to load balance the cells. My battery was over 5 years old which seems about right for the life of these. It's too bad that you can't simply buy 20 or so Samsung 18650 cells at $5/ea and easily swap them out like AA batteries. Last time I went down this rabbit hole it was a pretty involved process.
