Excellent for that. Surprising none of mine have ever rusted. I love my waders. I've disappeared under more times than I want to admit.

Yup. They're pretty fast about sending out the rebates too.

Old school, but, it works. Been doing Menard rebates over 10 years with zero issues.

The whole business model of Menards is that they count on some customers don't send out the rebate mail... It's a shame for Menards to keep doing mail-in rebates in this digital age...

I am the laziest person when it comes to rebates. I am going to send the rebates I was supposed to send on July. They still send me the rebate card through mail. I have always send multiple, so my rebates are 100+ each time. They are great price already so even if i dont get the rebates on the ones i buy (after checking prices on other big boxes), i have less regret.

It works, I am fine.

Menards rebates:
  • Can be mailed up to 1 year after purchase
  • Can be combined into 1 envelope from any purchases / any rebates during that time
  • Require only a single simple form to fill out regardless of how many rebates claimed
  • Show up online in 3-4 weeks, arrive in 6-7 weeks.
  • Only work as payment for future purchases in store
  • Can use rebate checks on any in-store purchases, no limitations, as good as cash.
  • But even better -- received rebate credit is treated like COUPON not PAYMENT, so reduce future tax. e.g. Buy $10 item get $5 rebate. Mail it in and then use it on your next $7 purchase, you only owe tax on the next item at $2 rate not $7
  • Don't have to use the balance up in once visit, trackable remaining balance on register receipt / online
  • Can use multiple rebate checks to pay for a purchase
  • Anything not received (lost in mail/etc..) can be re-submitted via electronic means if you took pictures of rebate receipts prior to mailing
This ain't old-school "try not to pay anything" rebate houses, they own it, it's on their corporate property in Wisconsin. Yes there are sometimes random problems (lost, etc..) but I have gotten everything promised doing this for 26+ years. They have improved it a number of times. Speed has been much faster in the past, is pretty slow now but comes through. There is more risk in your postal worker or thieves stealing your checks than Menards not paying them

It's certainly irritating when it could be done through the web at this point (it costs me a stamp and an envelope, and it costs them an employee opening and processing the submissions). I can only assume the additional barriers prevent so many people from submitting the rebates that Menards comes out way ahead. That being said, they give a year to submit the rebates (which is more than fair), and I've never had them fail to send me the credit.

They count on most people not bothering with them. If I were to buy something substantial from Menards and spend like $500, I would do the rebate. but otherwise I skip it. If you make the rebates too easy it will crash their bottom line, years ago Office Max started doing the online rebates, and made it way to easy for people, between their low prices and easy rebates it crashed their bottom line, then Office Depot bought them for like the cost of a happy meal. Office Depot almost never has an good deals, unless they are clearancing something out.
