MSRP is $50 (not $80), but a decent deal nevertheless
edit: actually, MSRP looks like $80 after all (logi.com) but it's $50 any day on Amazon and Walmart.

atmos? how?

seriously curious how.

Do they have different speakers in there? and how is the multi-channel stream sent?

Like a real atmos setup is height/direction/discrete separate channel based on the sound track.

how are these headphones doing it.

Or is this the same case like soundbars doing it and all marketing gimmick. Like those 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, 9.1 sound bar surround sound atmos, but its only 1 sound bar with all speakers and channels on the front stage. like wth

Mic on these is terrible. Been using one for over a year on a steam deck and pc. Definitely comfortable though, you might be able to get away with it if you're sitting in a quiet room, but quality and noise isolation is not good.

Not quite as misleading as a soundbar claiming to deliver Atmos. Still not as immersive as discrete channels, but not a complete marketing gimmick either. Headphones can simulate spatial audio better than soundbars because of how they can deliver binaural audio that uses something called a head related transfer function which models how the ears perceive and localize the direction of sounds. This is only possible with headphones, especially ones with strong noise isolation.

I wondered the same thing when I got the Xbox headphones. the Atmos part was literally just a paid software "app" that tweaked the eq setting. I think thats all it is here, a spacial settings software tweak

Got a pair for this price from Target a few years ago and I will say they're perfectly fine for my use which is occasional gaming and discord chatting with my friends. No one has complained that my microphone is a hard to hear or anything like that (unlike my Corsair HS35 which people always said I sounded low/muffled). I like how they're lightweight and sound is definitely fine for the price. They're kind of open back/airy so don't expect that others can't hear your gaming and obviously not noise cancelling. But the nice part is they don't make your ears feel warm.

Dongle works instantly with my PS5 as well. No issues with latency. I have no idea how the battery life is frankly because I use them so sporadically I just plug them in (usb-c) when I'm done using them. Manual mute and volume controls, audible little beeps and whoosh when muting/turning on-off respectively.

These headphones have very low clamping force (they're designed for kids), so they're great for anyone who wears glasses. Very comfortable to wear for hours.
