I did a set of 4 5' windows this summer. Not easy because of the length, and the windows being as tall as I am, and having to carry the film from the cutting table to the window without it folding over on itself (never, ever let that happen) - with 2 people it would have been a lot easier in retrospect. It was a very "wet" project, to avoid bubbles you really have to keep the window very wet, and unfortunately one roll had a flaw so I see a crease and that bugs me as well. But... the film cut down the heat from the sun mid-day immensely. It was very worth it. Even with a Cooleroo roll down shade inside the house, it was a hotbox. However, if I could go back in time, I think I would have chosen a removable rather than a permanent adhesive film if I could find one comparable. In the winter, the heat from the sun would be a benefit but...it's a permanent film. The privacy aspect is also pretty great - it does work as intended and it isn't very noticeable at all. The project itself took me an entire day, I think 2 people could do it a lot quicker.

If your windows have any issues with insulation, or you have high humidity where your windows fog, then these window films will start to break down and flake off.

There's no such thing as "one way". It only works in the day when outside is brighter than the room.

I've been wanting to use a film like this on my South-facing windows and the windows closest to my neighbor. Anyone have experiece with this brand? It seems suspiciously too cheap, even at the normal price.

I use this on my rear door glass window during the summer. Once winter hits I peel it off to let the sunlight warm up my place. Part of me hates wasting the film but it also reduces power used for cooling during summer days.

That's not true at all, Maybe you had an issue with a particular brand or it was an installation issue but in general the film isn't affected and in no way should it flake off shake head

It's been then price on and off for a long time. I've never seen it over $7 for this size. These are what we call drops. A company I used to work for would get film in long lengths and they would be cut down to different lengths and sometimes you have odd ball sizes left over, They didn't cut this to 78.7" it is just the length left over and they sell it rather than throw it away.
