- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.
While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

After 60days device will be unlocked. You can sell it, use it with different provider.
Remember you can't cancel Verizon in middle else you'll be responsible for the remaining device payment.
Only that number line has to be active on Verizon. It doesn't matter which phone you use for that number only.
Yesterday, I called Verizon and spoke to a lovely customer service agent as I wanted to remove the activation fees and the only way to do that is by speaking with customer service either by phone or chat. She was very helpful with the whole process including paying off my iPhone 15, as well as paying me for those phones to send them in as well as getting me an extra $20 off the bill with autopay (total of $40) and taking $15 off my monthly Fios bill. The only piece that she couldn't give me was the $300 gift card (which based on my Fios experience can take many months with lots of calls to get) and remove the activation fees for the 2 new watches I added for my kids.
Here is breakdown:
Line 1 Free phone w/unlimited welcome = $30
Line 2 Free phone w/unlimited welcome = $30
Line 3 free phone w/unlimited plus =$55
Line 4 free phone w/unlimited ultimate = $65
Free Watch 11 = $7.50
Free watch 11 = $7.50
Monthly Total = $195 + $20 tax/fees = $215
Monthly Total w/auto pay = $215 - $40 = $175
Plus $15 off Fios monthly
My current ATT w/company discount w/2 lines and 2/watches is $190.
Plus pay off 2 iPhone 15 @ $275/phone =$550 as well as giving us current cost of phone $305/phone in credit to send them in.
Plus saved $160 in activation but we still had to pay $80 activation for 2 watches as well as sales tax for the phones and watches.
Even w/o the $610 in phone credits, I'm still saving $30/month and now have a phone for my 2 kids.

I was anyways paying 165 for 5 lines so this deal fit in just fine since i didn't have to trade in my device. Unlocking after 60 days helps as i have a international esim which i can use.
Not sure about the network but i dont think it can get any worse as i was told xfinity runs on Verizon.
