It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Am I the only one who thinks gift cards are better than monthly bill discounts since you got to stay with Verizon and iPhone 17 for 36 months to get the full discount

The way the published deal prices (see below) for 4 lines on the plans (https://www.verizon.com/plans/unlimited/) works is as follows:

$50/month for the Unlimted Ultimate after the $10 Auto Pay Discount and $5 of the $20 National Discount ($65/month before those discounts)
$40/month for the Unlimited Plus after the $10 Auto Pay Discount and $5 of the $20 National Discount ($55/month before those discounts)
$25/month for the Unlimited Welcome after the $10 Auto Pay Discount and $5 of the $20 National Discount ($40/month before those discounts)

So for me that was $65 x 2 + $40 x 2 = $210/month less $40 Auto Pay and $20 National Discount = $150/month. The published deal rates are including the $20 National Discount since that is how the per month pricing is being arrived for this particular promo.

The $20/month "Better" discount and the $45/month discount are additional discounts not reflected in the $150/month price for 4 lines. If you count them in then I will only be paying $85/month for 4 lines with 2 on the Ultimate Plan and 2 on the Welcome Plan. I think it will be very difficult to beat anywhere.
btw, what number did you call and was it same every time?

Tried to replicate the below discounts at two different stores as well and wasn't able to. The rep said they've tried stacking these discounts in the system when the 4 for 100 promo first went live and the system will automatically remove the unstackable discounts. He said $45 was the max "closer" discount they can give in the system, forcing them to choose the best one.
In the end I just ended up porting 5x lines from Tmobile, 1x BYOD free ($30 additional monthly discount) and 4x Welcome plan. Which ends up being $150-$45-$30=$75 monthly + tax. Not too bad of a deal being that I got 4x new 17 pros and my Tmobile Magenta I was paying 185 for 5x lines (have 2 additional free lines but i havent found a use for them). Will probably try to call in VZ to see if a rep can replicate these discounts. The store rep did warn that shifting the discounts around might cause you to lose them and will be a pain the get it back

$20/month National Discount
$20/month "Better" discount
$45/month discount
I basically had a similar experience to you - got most of everything that @jtree1 had reported with exception of the $20/month "Better" discount. Like you, my rep said it was a "closer" discount and when she selected that one, everything else greyed out (also, she was not familiar with the $45 one at all and said that I was mistaken).

jtree, when you called and spoke to the US rep, did you tell them you had already called before or did you act like it was a new call? Also, did upload your AT&T bill again on that call? I'm wondering if doing a second bill upload somehow triggers more discounts to appear?

If you are in the group of people jumping ship to Magenta in 6-9 months, then take the Gift cards.

My first bill is $375. Make it make sense Verizon. Store reps couldn't explain why it was so high. The phones haven't even been activated yet.

Unlimited welcome plan does not many perks that are available with other cheaper mvnos, include Hotspot, smart watch, etc.

Just something to keep in mind for those thinking of porting over

You have to get the ultimate plan to qulify for the free watch 11 and iPad right?
I chose the mid-tier plan and was able to get the activation fee waived by calling and saying I planned to port my numbers back to T-Mobile within 12 hours of signing up. They also offered me a $20 per month credit for each line. My bill dropped from $267 per month to $110 per month including taxes. There was no way I would have stayed at $267, especially since T-Mobile was $150 on the old Military 1.0 plan. This included 4 new phones 2-iPhone 17 and 2-S25U along with 1 Apple Watch Ultra 3.
