It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

I was only able to get $20 off for National and $45 off. The rep was not aware of a Better discount and claim they is part of the $45. Is he wrong? What is AI scan?
A friend tried today and her total bill suggests only a total of $45 discount after the bill comparison- not $45 and $25 as was the case a couple of days ago. Anyone able to get both "Closer" and "Better" discounts applied today?

Merry Christmas to you too Smilie So I took 4 lines with iphone 17 pro + 1 byod. The $45 credit is for 36months. The agent that I worked with told me that when you are transferring from tmobile, he is able to offer it. Others in this post indicated this is a "closure" discount used to close the deal with you. In any case, you will have to find an agent who is willing offer it to you. I went to three different verizon shop because some stores were not willing to help. Bit of a hassle, but for $1620, I think it is worth it.
Thanks @jjays! . Appreciate for helping the group. BTW in case if its possible to upload the bill screenshot with the above discounts (provided there is no personnal info) only if possible. Thanks again

I'm planning to visit the store to confirm these details. For those who already received the discounts, could you please verify the correct names for each of the four discounts below? I want to reference the exact terms when speaking to the store or online support. Appreciate your help!

For a $100 monthly plan (excluding taxes) with 4 new devices (Pro 17), here are the discounts I summarized from this forum:

$20/month – National Discount
$20/month – "Better" Discount
$45/month – Closer Discount, $15 for 1 line, $30 for 2 lines.,$45 for 3 or more lines
$40/month – Autopay Discount (4 lines)

Total discounts add up to $85 (excluding autopay which is part of $100 promotion) so the monthly bill will be 100-85 = 15 before taxes? which seems too good to be true, Appreciate your time and help!!

Also when i called ,agent is saying national discount and better discount are already part of the $100 promotion

switch and save deals are once per lifetime (or at least they make it difficult to scale), and are only $800 per line. after 3 mos you'd still need to pay off over $1k per line. assuming you did that, there's another $800 (4x$200) you have to add to your costs. In exchange you get your (4x$800) gc from tmo, but at this point you've now got 4 used phones you need to sell and its May and the iphone 18 is 4 months away. if you're lucky you'd make $1k when all is said and done.
Switch and Save is not once per lifetime. they limit it once every two years unless things have changed since I stopped working at T-Mobile

the agent I got was not able to provide any discount details until I uploaded the bill. System automatically added credits and adjusted as we updated the devices. I got 40+20+20 credits instead of 45 (he tried to add it but system did not accept) but I am happy to get 4 new watches (new lines not part of ATT) and phones for the same price (including all charges) I was paying at ATT. Plus he waived off all activation (including watches) and 300$ credit for the GC. I can share his direct number if anyone interested.
Can you hook me up with the direct number? I tried calling and they said they don't have anything extra when you switch from tmobile...

National discount is part of the $100 monthly plan as well (I believe it is $5 per line ported). So its really the 'better' and 'closer' discounts that are taken from $100 Welcome plan.

Thank you for confirming. I think this 30$ BYOD discount is only in-store as my rep said he is only able to do 5$ per month. By any chance, do you know if we can also get "pay off your device".

I have one device that is with AT&T and needs pay-off. I am looking to see if I can get pay-your-device-offer (upto 800) and then use the same device with verizon but my rep said I need to trade the device if I avail the pay-your-device-offer.
Sorry my device was already paid off and have no knowledge regarding the pay offer device offer. I hope someone else with more knowledge can help answer your question. Good luck!

Everything seems correct except as willygee pointed out, it is actually $40 per line and the promoted $100 already includes $20 national discount.

$160 - $40 autopay discount - $20 national discount = promoted $100.

$100 - $45 closure discount - $20 better discount = $35 per month (+ taxes and fees)

Called and talked to an agent and was really easy. Asked me if I was porting or getting new numbers. I told her I was porting over 3 numbers from T-Mobile. She said she would do a soft credit check to make sure I was approved for service and equipment and then upload my bill from T-Mobile and see what discounts she could stack.

Credit was approved and sent me a link to upload my bill. After she received it she offered me $65 credit. I didn't have to ask or anything. $45 credit for 3 months. $20 national and $20 better will be lifetime as long as I have 3 or more lines. The $40 activation will be waived after activating lines and will be 1 - 2 billing cycles. I mentioned about the $300 and she said supervisor will authorize it and will be bill credits as well.

Total for 4 lines in TX comes out to be $60.75 with taxes after the $65 discount.

The $45 credit is only for 3months? Others have mentioned that they got it for the full 3 years.
