These are the times I miss T-force from TMO! Is going into the store best to resolve billing issues? Seems like even opening case isn't the best. Just want someone to be able see everything and get it right!
Don't know what is the best way to resolve these billing issues but I am hoping to at least show the $50 bill credit page to that same store guy and get him apply the credit right way :fingers crossed!

I think that once this deal is over and things settle down then Customer Care will be more accessible. Agreed that T-Force was good for billing questions but on other things the only thing they could tell me over the last few years was, "I'm sorry, but you don't qualify for that promotion because you're already getting a great deal on our Military plan". When I recently called T-mobile to get a port pin they hooked me up with loyalty. (I know now that you can get the pin through the T-Life App). The guy was respectful and courteous but told me straight out they couldn't match Verizon's deal (and couldn't quite comprehend the fact that Verizon didn't require trade-in) and that those are usually only available for new subs who are porting into T-mobile and that goes for all companies.
i hope you are right - it just seems very odd to me why the first bill and next estimated bills are so high? anyway, hope things settle and they get it right!

My activation fees were waived when I set up my account but I ported my lines in later. I was charged a new activation on one line because they did it wrong by creating a new line instead of porting to existing line. They also charged activation on the 5th free BYOD line. Chat doesn't seem to work so it's much better to call. You have to tell them the you were promised the waiver of activation fees regardless if you ported or not. They manually credited my account for both lines on the next bill. I wouldn't wait for the next cycle. They seem to have short-term memory issues.

Verizon's Unlimited Welcome is a basic, budget-friendly unlimited data plan, known for its low multi-line pricing (as low as $25/line for four lines with Auto Pay) but lacks features like mobile hotspot and premium 5G access, offering DVD-quality streaming (480p) and data deprioritization during congestion, making it great for simple usage but not ideal for heavy data users or those needing perks or device deals, as it can conflict with existing phone payment discounts.

Key Features & Limitations:
Price: Affordable, especially with multiple lines and Auto Pay (e.g., $25/line for 4 lines).
Data: Unlimited data, but it's "deprioritized," meaning speeds can slow during network congestion.
Streaming: Standard 480p video quality on 4G/5G, with limited 720p on 5G UW.
No Mobile Hotspot: Does not include mobile hotspot data.
No Premium 5G: Doesn't give full access to Verizon's faster 5G Ultra Wideband (UW).
Perks: Can add perks (like Disney+, Netflix) for an extra cost ($10/month each).
Device Deals: Can prevent you from getting new phone discounts if you have phones on payment plans.

Who it's For:
Users who primarily need basic talk, text, and unlimited data for social media, browsing, and light streaming.
Families looking for the lowest possible cost per line.
Who Should Avoid It:
Heavy data users or people needing reliable mobile hotspot.
Those who want premium 5G speed or bundled entertainment perks.
Customers with existing Verizon device payment plans, as switching could cost you phone discounts.

In essence, Unlimited Welcome is Verizon's no-frills entry-level plan, offering value at the expense of premium features and device flexibility.

Net net: deprioritized down to Visible's lowest tier. Ouch.

Good luck ever texting a photo from a stadium. Or grabbing an uber at busy airport.

Does anybody know when the promotion will expire?

My TMOBILE contract will end on Jan 22. I wonder when will be my last day to put my order.

To my understanding, after you place the order, you will wait for the shipment, and you can further hold the phones for a while before you activate and port in. So perhaps by Jan 10?

I think for some, this is fine but one other thing to be mindful - if you seeking higher tier phones than the 17 pro (like pro max) you kinda have to go with a higher plan like Plus or Ultimate. This is bc they give a lesser discount on Welcome for those top tier phones.

i think @tominatorTL said 10 days from 12/30 or so per his agent? So likely soon.

Yes you can port later but you will essentially be "paying" for two services (i think). I did not fully port until 10 days after my order but it should have been even later since they told me my phones werent supposed to ship until today (1/5). Key is to get the order in before promo ends then you can take some time to port.

Beware of their customer service representatives, they are deceptive. I contacted their customer service multiple times, and they said they had applied the discount for me and I even received a confirmation text message, but in reality, they never applied the discounts. Each time they claimed it required system or supervisor approval, but they were actually just deceiving their customers.
