This seems to have really rough reviews. Very polarizing. Amazon has for same price. There are easy ways to also get this 10% cheaper at Dyson.

This was discussed the other night in the Amazon thread. Watch the videos, this has advantages over old school Roombas (the ones that bump into everything) and that's about it (better suction, gets closer to walls). Still needs too much human intervention to compete with modern products, battery life is terrible, and the app leaves a lot to be desired. There are Sharks and Dreames on the market that come available in the $100-200 range that are far better.

I would buy this for my garage IF it was >$200 cheaper since it seems to be heavier duty/able to pick up more and bigger pieces of crud and would then be at the price that would not cause financial pain if it got clogged up within a few months and/or run over.

I bought a Dyson and loved it for a few years. 10 years later my opinion is that their products are beautifully designed and over hyped in functionality.

End of the day they are tools, not art, get a tool that does the job better for the $$$.

I love artful tools that have an appreciative beauty to them

I bought one. This was one of the highest rated machines for pet hair on vacuumwars. It feels like a stout piece of engineering vs. the other robot vacs that I've owned. Those seem like toys in comparison. The reviews weren't wrong, this thing is amazing for picking up pet hair from carpets, but holy hell is the software bad. To achieve that level of performance, the suction settings have to be the highest level, which results in ~12min of cleaning time before the battery is spent. The vac can't find it's base station, and can't show you it's mapping when it gets lost, which is every cleaning. The dust bin is tiny and will need to be manually emptied every day. Great piece of machinery rendered nearly useless by the poor software. This one will get returned.

I bought one and had the same problems and returned mine too. Mine sometime wouldn't go back to the charger even when it was within a few feet of it. I had one room where I would tell it to clean and it would go to the doorway of that room and turn around and go back to the charger and say "unable to clean" without even giving a reason why. It's a shame this doesn't navigate better because it has the best suction on the market.

it's almost funny to watch it spin in circles a few feet in front of the charging station and never actually dock. almost.
