User error. I've been using mine for 1+ years now without any issues. Keep it clean, catch the drippings, and it won't cause any issues. I do warn, this thing is small. It is great for 1-2 people max.

I had a big smoker fire in my pellet grill away from the house. User preventable, but honestly these things need better dripping collection... Instructions are usually to clean dripping tray, but fat still builds up on internal grease catchers and requires scraping out. Usually this takes 5+ cooks, but I was doing a full load in mine (4 8lb butts) so it built up super quick... Fire + grease is asking for trouble, either clean regularly or don't cook next to the house.
