Anyone know if this is a DA or rotary? If the former what is the throw?

Great price. You can find a lot of the same product at the Chinese retailer at similar or higher price point. I have been looking for this entry level DA polisher but concern about the reliability.

That guy you linked is doing his level best to ruin a paint job.

Based on his own video, I wouldn't trust his advice about buffing, polishing, paint correction, or even waxing.

Seems like a surprisingly honest review. Not sure why you think he's trying to destroy the paint. Don't like how he's holding the rotary polisher? There's a lot worse I've seen others do.

Are the batteries compatible with any other brand? Last thing I need is another dedicated battery system for only one tool. Other no name polishers are compatible with Dewalt 20V tools, for example.

Riiiiiiiiiight 😂.. im sure hes just trying to ruin his paint because he hates these cheapo rebranded cordless weak polishers and is shilling for the big brands..

These are not compatible with Dewalt but I found that pretty much all these Chinese 20v tools use the same type batteries.
I have a few Chinese cordless 20v tools and they use the same kind.

I think perhaps these might be compatible with Mikita... The batteries look the same as the Seesii tool batteries which are compatible with Mikita

If you know how to use a DA polisher you can immediately tell that this guy is doing a shit job and I wouldn't trust him either. While there's no specific right or wrong grip, you never want to tip the polisher onto its edge when doing a flat surface like this guy did multiple times. It's not a rotary polisher it's a DA and from the looks of that review it is super weak.

If you're buying it to polish your car you will be sorely disappointed. The harbor freight short throw polisher will do 5x the work this one will (and it's slow going with that thing as well)

Get one from harbor freight before this, make sure its a Dual Action. Or you can get a cheap random orbital with some cheap bonnets, I wouldn't use this.
