That guy you linked is doing his level best to ruin a paint job.

Based on his own video, I wouldn't trust his advice about buffing, polishing, paint correction, or even waxing.

Its wild how much technology has grown in the last few years, you used to have to have a gynormous air compressor, with pneumatic tools or hold a monstrous buffer to get what comes in cheep ass cordless tools these days.

Ive been in paint and body my entire life, he's not doing anything wrong, especially for fully cured paint thats been washed.

The guy's review specifically says it's not good for paint correction and then pulls out a rotary polisher. Yes, he holds it too much on edge, but he's not trying to destroy the paint and clearly didn't. I don't understand the argument. He says it's not a great polisher and some folks are saying don't trust the guy. Are they trying to say this thing actually is a good DA polisher. Clearly it isn't.

The run time with each battery is about 15-20 minutes before it starts to slow down and become ineffective. I was only able to complete a hood with 2 charged batteries. It's fine you just have minor touchups here and there, but don't expect to do a full car with this in one sitting.

Looks like the Makita battery is nominally 18V? I'm actually looking at buying this simply for the battery and charger... For another Chinese tool. Anyone confirm?
