This is a tiny $20 beginner drone that can be a fun starter toy or gift for kids, especially for learning basic flying and line of sight control. It can take off and move around, and a few reports say it flies surprisingly well for the price. The camera and video quality are weak, with upscaled footage, blur in motion, and very short flight time when the camera is on. Reliability also looks shaky, with pairing problems, weak wind handling, and some units failing to take off.

These are probably just barely worth the $20 asking price. They are tiny in comparison to a "proper" drone like a DJI Mini sorts. I bought two when the deal was posted initially thinking they would be of decent quality, which they are "fine", but I sent them back. I'd spend a little more if you actually want a real drone experience. These are toys, so set your expectations as such, otherwise disappointment will be what you get here.

Look at the video how it landed! I'm pretty sure it will be broken in a couple landing.

this thing is TINY.
I ordered two.
when it came in a small box I though it was only one.
here it is compared to DJI Air3 and a Mini5pro and a Neo.

I'm not expecting much for $20.
from a quick 15 min test.

BAD
- feels cheap. chinese cheap plastic.
-the controller needs 3 AAA battery. (could be bad or good depending on person. it's good for me.)
- the controller phone holder don't stretch high so it really only fit smaller phones.
- use the usb cable it came with to charge the battery. my other usb cables don't charge the battery. (can't knock it as alot of devices I've seen simliar or maybe my other cables are just crappy)
- there is no memory internally or microsd slot. all videos /pictures are saved via what you see on the phone transmitted to it.

GOOD
- you don't need a phone to fly it. there is no cable to connect the phone to the controller like a traditional drone controller. just turn on controller & drone and you are good to go.
so in theory battery life is better as it is not transmitting wifi to the phone. with that said I'm curious what the actual range is.
- while only tested indoor it seems to do position hold decently. but due to the weight/size I'm sure once it sees little wind it will go off.
- includes extra propellers. (** FOR NEWBIES. as with all quadcopters there are "counter clockwise" and "clockwise" propellers) so when you replace broken propellers make sure it is the same direction types.

COMMENT.
- this feels like one of those $20 mini remote helicopter that was all the rave 10+ years ago.
it's a fun toy as it is more controllable /stable (level flight) than those helicopter.
- can't comment on the flips and turns or what other one button tricks it can do as I don't care for it.
- the control type is "mode 2" so exactly the same as DJI and most drone. it can help you transistion to other higher end drones.
- the fact that you can use it standalone no phone. it offers a good use case.
this can be used as good real world practice for flying in line of sight and have your hand/eye adapt to line of sight orientation flying.

so if you do enjoy flying it and want to graduate to something higher end like the DJI Mini units. you already have the muscle memory and orientation adaption and can jump right into flying and not make newebie inexperienced flying mistakes damaging expensive drones.

also this is good low cost despensible drone to smear poop and fart spray to land in neighbors roof or gutter to stick up their house. and its not trackabe/tracable since it doesn't have Remote ID. and you don't need to register /activate or bind it to your email or phone.

"Throw to fly" - lol. That's probably the best advice. Fold your $20 bill into an airplane and throw it for the same experience. At least you'll still have your 20 bucks at the end of your disappointment.

I bought one for $20. It is going to be a disaster. If, for some reason it isn't, I'll let you all know. Otherwise I'll see you in Valhalla

You know what this is good far? To teach your kids how things work - for $20, you get to spend 1 hour with your kids and take this apart, look at how it's all wired, explain motors, electronics, transmitters, receivers, etc. Even if you don't know it yourself, take photos, upload it to chatgpt and ask it to make some guesses. $20 for 1 hour = thats cheaper than most entertainment venues these days!

Get a low end DJI drone. Consider this drone a disposable which for $20 is fine. The DJI will be way easier to fly and a lot lower risk of it flying off or crashing.
DJI drones are about to be banned for sale in the US starting December 23rd.

WTH is "headless mode"? I think I'd rather light $20 on fire.
