Friends don't let friends buy Seagate drives if they care about their data.

Every seagate I've gotten has failed on me shortly after a year.

I think those are only good for cold storage. I wouldn't trust them in a machine that's always on.

i just rebuilt my unraid with a 24TB barrashitcuda and said it finished with 0 errors but then the disk thew itself offline...

time to burn some more electricity rebuilding i guess.

no one can tell me why , esspecially when the disk was good in windows.. even after double checking a second time .

my wd 18tb white label ran for almost 4 years in the same slot on my backplane

i threw in another 24TB barracuda HAMR BABY CMR to see if it would take this time.. very odd ,
