1) Get cashapp
2) Link your debit card to be able to pay/deposit money
3) Complete some basic verification
4) Click the looking glass icon at top right and search for DoorDash or Offers (quick links -> offers. Add Offers including Doordash to your account.
5) Click on it and click Open Doordash link. But that gives an error:

Here is what I did:
1) In DoorDash, Go to settings -> Payment methods -> Add Payment method -> Cash app pay. Make sure Cash App pay is your preferred payment.
2) Go to Cash App app and add at least $40 or how much your total will be before this 50% discount. I added $60 just to be safe.
3) Then add your order in Doordash and checkout make sure payment is Cash App pay.
My total was $40 during checkout, but my Cash app balance was reduced by only $20.
Other users are reporting that it works on pick up orders as well. Combine with B1G1 promotions restaurants have for a very slick deal.

Then found out if you search for the business eg:- Doordash, you should be able to find the business and it would say "Offer Available" if the business has any offers.
Click on the offer and save/add it.

The whole point of this promotion for Cash App is for them to make you set it as the default payment in these consumer apps. Then many people would be too lazy to change their defaults and keep using cash app.
Another said, "its not going show but when you go to pay it will automatically take it off."
And someone upthread here said, "thanks! just used on doordash, $20 off stacked on top of the restaurants existing promo. you wont see the cash app promo in your cart, but after ordering cash app shows the $20 off"
I might try to just schedule a pickup for tomorrow, so that way I can cancel if I'm charged the full amount.

This deal works with b1g1 offers that restaurants have. It should also work with pickup but I got delivery so can't confirm.

Edit: Just placed an order for later tonight and it worked! There's basically no confirmation on DoorDash's end, but Cash App charged my card the correct 50% off. I didn't have to preload my account with the money either.
So, yeah, as long as you activate the 50% off on the Cash App app, then make sure the payment method is set to Cash App in DoorDash, it should work. The deep link thing doesn't seem to matter.
