I came to this thread thinking "who the heck needs a spreader? Don't you people own butter knives?" Then I recalled all the times I had to awkwardly balanced a butter knife on top of a small jar of mustard, or hoped the heavy handle didn't make the jar fall over.

I bought two.

Grab two, just in case. One of my most used kitchen utensils for many reasons. A very capable serrated thin blade, along with its fatass S P R E A D-ability while being ultra easy to clean.
Bonus points: One stop tool shop for cutting, pitting, slicing, and scooping/scraping avocados.

there is an easier way of getting flesh from avocado. cut off end, slice skin, cut in half and peel it

Can someone please explain, how this is different then a butter knife? I use butter knife as a spreder. What am I missing? Thanks 🙏

Edit: Googled it and found the one i have is spreader as well. It just doesn't have an handle like above product. its like a spoon or fork, in one single piece, in a shape of knife with rounded head.
