About this item
- The ultimate Dolby Atmos experience: The lateral and overhead channels in Arc Ultra and both Era 300 speakers immerse you an an all-encompassing spatial audio soundstage. You'll hear planes as if they're flying above, sense footsteps moving across the room, and feel like you're inside your music.
- Feel the bass: Experience every rumble, roar, and beat you've been missing with clean, pulse-pounding bass. Sub 4 takes over the lowest frequencies so paired speakers are free to focus on midrange and high frequencies so everything sounds even clearer.
Community Reviews
Sonos Arc Ultra with Sub 4 and Era 300s is a premium surround package that stands out for easy setup, clean living room integration, and strong movie and music playback in open spaces. The Era 300s are included here, and the black version is already down to low stock, with the same price reportedly available direct from Sonos. The main tradeoff is that this is still a virtual Atmos system, so it will not match a full receiver and speaker setup, and long term app reliability has been a concern for some. A good fit if convenience matters more than chasing the absolute best home theater performance.
open living room movie-and-music listeners who want an easy surround setup because one commenter wall-mounted the Era 300s, used the soundbar on the TV, and paired it with the smaller Sub 4 and said it "really fills the area" and sounds good even though they're "no audiophile."
people starting over on home theater who value simpler setup over maximum performance because a commenter said they'd likely forego a Denon/SVS/7-speaker Atmos build for this Sonos setup since it "comes close" while being "so much easier to set up."
buyers who specifically want Era 300 speakers included because this deal includes the Era 300s (unlike some other bundles that only sell Era 100 speakers).
average users who don't want to deal with measurement and calibration because one commenter said traditional receiver setups require distance/crossover/level calibration and careful placement, while Sonos gets them "90% of the quality with 10% of the hassle."
people who prefer Sonos for plug-in app setup because a commenter described the process as "way, way easier" than a receiver system-plug in, app setup, run Trueplay-and said they couldn't tell a difference versus their prior receiver setup.
hobbyists or buyers who expect true speaker-based Atmos performance because commenters argued the soundbar/virtual Atmos approach isn't capable of matching real speaker surround (and improper setup can make it seem closer than it is).
people who want a fully hard-wired home theater because one commenter asked whether using the Era 300s makes the whole system go Wi‑Fi instead of wired, noting that a single wireless component can make the entire system wireless (which may conflict with their goal of reducing TV input lag).
buyers who are sensitive to reliability issues with app/software updates because one commenter said their Arc disconnected from the app after software updates and stopped working until a factory reset, and they switched back to a receiver for better reliability.
people replacing a long-standing stereo amp setup who expect a similar upgrade in sound quality because one commenter said after calibrating they were "COMPLETELY underwhelmed" versus their 20-year-old Yamaha amp + Boston Acoustics setup and returned the Arc Ultra + Sub 4 kit.

I know, I know - the complete home theater would sound better, but SONOS comes close *and* it's so much easier to set up.
Nothing will replace actual speakers setup, even cheapest will outperform soundbars.
I'm not an audiophile, and I greatly prefer the Sonos setup. If you're smart with your purchases you can get a full Sonos setup way under MSRP (either through sales, or with refurb purchases). It's extremely easy to setup (way, way easier to setup than a receiver system; plug 'em in, set them up in the app, run Trueplay, and you're good to go), sounds terrific, and I honestly can't tell the difference between my Sonos setup and my former receiver setup.
Yes these are easier to set up and can be more aesthetically pleasing, that is what you are actually paying for.
You are getting a simulation of Atmos surround.
If you want to believe you're actually getting Atmos, no argument/debate there, that is your prerogative.
i went back to a receiver and speaker set up. it takes up more space, but it sounds better and it's so much more reliable.
i also have a sonos one that doesn't work with the current app. i'm sure there's a way to get it working. i just don't have the time and patience to figure out, to possibly have it break again with another update
i might just be getting old, but i'm done with sonos.
That's because you didn't set up your speaker system properly.

no problem with sonos
All that "blah blah blah" is why people think it's close(90%)!
Physics alone tells you one cannot do what the other can.
If you want to believe a soundbar defies physics by 90%, no debate there!

That's an apples n oranges comparison.
This is not capable of providing anywhere close to the performance of what a speaker based surround is capable of, especially a "Atmos" one!
Improper implementation is often the reason people think they are close.
