I bought this last year at Sam's on clearance for <$20. It's not terrible, but I wouldn't buy again. For me, the main issue was the lack of ergonomics when using it. The power button is placed where it is uncomfortable using your finger or thumb. The button is very stiff, making a longer screw rather painful.
Maybe mine has a defective battery, it drains FAST! I put together a simple IKEA table, maybe 20 screws and had to use a regular screwdriver for the last couple screws.

I love mine. Keep in mind it's not a drill, it's a screwdriver. It's not 18V, it's 4V. I use mine all the time for almost everything I would normally grab a screwdriver for, this thing saves my wrist and my time.

Serious? Maybe not a good stocking gift? I can see where it c/b bulky but hoped the pivot head might be valuable.

What was wrong with it? Underpowered? Bulky? something else?

I got mine at Sam's as well and use it all the time. The charge for mine was enough to put together a dinner table and 6 chairs. It is not a drill replacement and should not be used as such. The only thing I would like is if the head pivots up to 90 degrees instead of just up to 60 degrees.

I tried it but after using a pistol grip style cordless screwdriver for years, this one just didn't feel comfortable to me. Also, it's a bit underpowered and no torque settings.

It features three torque settings that allow you to adapt to the application at hand.

The "torque settings" are digital, not mechanical. There's no clutch on this like a drill. Torque is "adjusted" by reducing voltage so the motor is choked off. I wish mine had a real clutch.

Good point, except this is an inexpensive power screwdriver for simple DIY tasks.
