Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank c2nah777

I've never known a shredder that lives up to its rating for "number of sheets". And this says only 6.
I think it's just something we all adapt to, when the motor tries to stall as you approach the real limit.
I'd put this $20 towards something better, with micro-cut.

Another important feature for me is the ability for the shredder to handle credit cards. This has that at least.

Admittedly, I do not have any great alternative deal suggestions for now, other than setting up a deal alert. So if you are in dire need, this can get you by at a snail's pace.

I checked Costco, Sam's, WM, & AMZ.
If you need one now, and want to go with micro-cut, this one on WM is not a bad sale price for a basic, starter for $47 (marked down from $75). I'd expect a 4-sheet true capacity.
I always divide the advertised capacity by 2.

I'd prefer this one from Sam's Club ($70), which advertises 12-sheet capacity, handles credit cards and CDs:

I know some will think..."But what do you expect for $20?"

I'd probably wait for a deal on a micro-cut with at least 12-sheet advertised capacity, or go with Sam's, Costco for their "better than most" return policies.

Strange. Created the link using the woot share function. Copied this one from my browser and was able to open it up in a different browser so hopefully it works.

My personal opinion is to pay the extra $5 for micro cut (instead of cross cut). If you're going to shred something, don't do it half-heartedly, go all the way.

But I would tend to agree with others that 6-sheet capacity seems small such that I would worry the motor will die when you inadvertently feed it too many sheets that ONE time. "3 minute continuous runtime" is not as long as you'd think it would be.
