I, for one, glad that I have the "standard" Costco 2-year warraanty. I purchased the Airpod Pro (aka 1). Before the 2nd year ended, one of the earpiece did not work. I contacted Costco and they sent me the Pro 2 for free. So it's like getting a free upgrade. Wink

The other AirPods do not seal in your ear, therefore do not provide near the noise canceling. There are a lot of other features missing as well. Suggest you do a side-by-side comparison of features and decide what you need or want for your money.

We used the AppleCare because one of the airpods slipped out of my son's ear and he stepped on it. Accidents happen.
