My understanding is AppleCare does not cover lost or stolen AirPods... So unless you found that one you dropped in the shaft, it wouldn't have helped.

AppleCare is really only useful if you happen to break the AirPods somehow (or they malfunction). Still pretty nice coverage for "free".

It came in handy with my ProV1 but I didn't need it for the V2. You may think you don't need it until you actually do. So, buying from Costco is much better than buying from any other retailer because it's essentially free. No brainer.

Seems like a great deal, especially with 2 years of AppleCare+ included. I would have gotten it. However, I recently got a pair of "like new" AirPods Pro 3 from Amazon Resale with 20% off.

Amazon Resale w/ 20% off: $170.71 + 6% tax = $180.95 Total (add AppleCare for $20/yr for 2 years or $40 = Final Cost $221)
Costco Sale: $230 + 6% tax = Final cost $243.80 (includes 2 yr AppleCare)... ignoring the 2% Costco cash back savings.
So a grand savings of $22.80 by going with the Amazon Resale. Whoop dee do. Better not spend the savings all at once. LOL!

Computers and electronics (including AirPods) do not have lifetime return policy at Costco. It's only 90 days.

Agreed. I was thankful for having AppleCare on my Pro V1. Replace individual buds (L and R) 4 separate times thru the years. Not sure about V2s, but the V1s were notorious for developing static and audio issues from prolonged usage.
