This box is OK for outdoor storage at this price. No way the top can support any weight on top of it. I have this and the Costco $150 (on sale) unit. The Costco unit has metal braces for the top that I can comfortably sit on the top without any bowing. I wouldn't dare to sit in this unit with my 161 lbs weight.

I have a total of four of the 92g boxes and they're holding up nicely after a few years (New England weather).

Interesting notes:

The weight limit on the cover (for seating) is legit...I'm 225lbs and it doesn't bow/flex when I'm seated. I prolly wouldn't consider this a permanent option for seating, but infrequent should be fine.

Weight distribution inside the box is weird; don't lean anything too heavy against the walls, especially front/back, else it strains/warps the resin during cold/heat changes.

Make sure this sits on level surface, else bow/warp.

3 of 4 are exposed to the sun "all day"; no discoloration that I can see.

Correction on my bad memory. The one I got is not from Costco but Sam's Club. Checked my August receipt, got it for $99 on sale. It's $130 right now. And it's a 170 gallon box.

Isn't there something you can spray on it like clearcoat or 303 aerospace protectant to prolong the life of the outdoor box from UV deterioration?

Good enough for delivery's on the porch. Like others have mentioned this is probably a little on the weaker side. I'd say 25% as strong as a suncast equivalent. I 3D printed a sign for the side of it since some of my delivery peeps weren't queued into the fact that they can use it. Gonna leave snacks for them inside as well.

Had one for about a year and a half outside in Georgia weather but that's all it lasted. Hinges rusted out after that rendering it useless. Fine at this price but don't expect it to last longer that that.
