Amazon has the Bosch 1/2 inch 18V brushless with a 2.0Ah battery for about $8 less:

Is this the lowest price? Been waiting for a brushless drill deal for a while. Already in the Ryobi, rigid, and Ego ecosystems

Is this a better deal than the 3/8" brushed drill on sale for $35?

Brushed is heavy and awkward. If you want to use it often, I would go brushless compact for the sake of convenience.

Yes, it's Night and Day better. This Brushless has 3X times the power and the RPMs. Plus it has has 1/2" chuck. That 3/8" chuck is too limiting.

The best drill brands are the ones you have all the same batteries for.

for 60$ more you can get a 3/8 brushless impact driver with a downgrade to 2 1.5 AH regular batteries instead of 1 2 AH HP battery:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../326415387

...I had actually bought that combo set but am returning it because they had their 1/2" brushless HP impact wrench with 2 4 AH HP batteries on sale for 170$ over the weekend, and that was just such a better deal.

I wish you could tell them to keep the charger. I have so many of them from combo deals. Lol
I'd buy tool only but it's more expensive.

For light home tasks. Should I commit to the Ryobi ecosystem or hold out for a good deal on the M12 Fuel? Ryobi seems to be more affordable but how does it compare to Milwaukee in terms of quality, reliability etc?

Ryobi is sufficient for home DIY.

Wonder the same if this is lowest or should wait for a better deal (like a hackable one that pops up time to time)? I'm already knee deep in the Ryobi ecosystem and looking for a drill to replace my OLD DeWalt that I got some generic replacement batteries off Amazon that heats up easily when left in charge. It makes more sense to just get something like this then pay $$$ to get DeWalt batteries. But I'm in no hurry and don't mind waiting for a better deal.

I got mine. It doesn't have the tool bag mentioned in the online description.
Yeah, the product page CLEARLY says it comes with the tool bag. Attached a highlighted screencap of their product description to this post.

This deal just got better! Mine is now $59 after $10 refund customer service chat offered for the website listing a toolbag that was not in the box.

Shared the screen grab from their website showing the contents listing a tool bag and after a little (nice) back and forth, they offered $10 refund to account for the missing Ryobi bag promised on their site.

Looked online and I can easily get a $10 off brand toolbag.

You can also wait for full size kit to get on sale again. Few months ago gen 1 drill and impact were at $99 with 2x2ah batteries. The full size has way more power and only slightly heavier than compact. Compact is not much better than brushed, it's just much lighter.
