Look good to me, outside of not picking up VHF channels. In truth, I didn't even know VHF existed anymore.

If the view to the main towers is blocked by hills, or on the wrong side of a building, like it is for me less than 10 miles from downtown Seattle, you will get zero reception. Doesn't make any difference unless the antenna goes high enough.

That is true, Digital requires LOS (Line of Sight) while analog signals could bounce off the atmosphere. May not be the right terminology, but that's the idea.

@steppendinit got it right. Best results for receiving ATSC (digital over the air TV) is the ability to directly see the antenna (line of sight). Getting signals bounced off of buildings or other structures dramatically reduces reception quality.

Sold out. Most people buying antennas don't even understand that they need to move it around to find the best location and rescan every time it's moved. I have the cheap plastic indoor flat antennas on all my TV's that I bought on Temu for $5 each. They all work great and I get 50 channels and I'm a valley with the translator tower about 30 miles away. Antenna TV if you can get it has a far better picture than cable TV. Always tape it to a window in the direction of the towers for best reception.
