looks like a decent deal on the surface. my only real concern would be cooling, especially if you use it as intended (imo) for local AI/LLM workloads. looks like you can 3d print a 120mm fan mount and solve that particular problem https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5419741

would be considering this if I hadn't just got in on the HP Z2 posted the other day

Thinking about getting this for my 8 yo son. Is 128GB enough RAM for Roblox?

Roblox? No way. I'm thinking of getting it for my mom but I'm not sure it has enough physical cores to run Facebook at full screen and with high settings on.

Nearly $2500 (after taxes) open-box tablet/PC that is "Final Sale: Non-refundable".

What could go wrong?

Final sale, absolutely no returns. May be missing some or all accessories. Might be worth the risk for something that's a few hundred dollars...not for something thats $2500.

128 GB RAM should be fine for the lowest settings, but the real bottleneck is the GPU, you will need a rtx5090 for Roblox.

Newegg + open box? Don't do it. Best Buy? Yeah, sure. Newegg? Hell no.

Twist plot: the price was mainly for the RAM. The rest doesnt add up.

it cools just fine, you will never reach 120W maximum but its diminishing returns unless maybe you're doing multiple things at once

Price went up to retail....for open box. Consider this deal dead?
