The HoverAir X1 Pro Max bundle stands out as a compact self flying camera for quick follow me shots, casual vlogging, and family trips. The Costco package adds real value with two batteries, a charging hub, and a case, and the camera is praised for sticking close, tracking well, and shooting in real 8K with a bigger sensor and HLG HDR. It is also described as easy for kids and discreet to carry. The main limits are short controller range and less appeal for drone enthusiasts who want more manual control, while rough trail use can still lead to crashes or lost time. A strong fit when portability and hands free capture matter most.
The bundle can be discounted at Costco and still qualify for a same-day price adjustment refund.
The Pro Max can shoot real 8K and is positioned for quick preset AI Quickshots rather than setup-heavy filming.
The follow-me behavior can stay locked on during fast biking and can route around obstacles more effectively than other drones tried.
The unit can keep working after crashes and falls on dirt trails, which may reduce worry for casual outdoor use.
The drone can crash into trees during mountain biking, forcing frequent stops to locate the lost drone.
The Pro Max may have durability and reliability uncertainty after only about a month of ownership.
Controller-based landscape flying can be limited by short range and it may not fly too far compared with DJI selfie drones.
The bundle may be less suitable for drone enthusiasts who want more control rather than preset AI modes.

Anyhow, Hoverair must be hurting with the DJI Neo 2 release and its super low price point. Even I ordered one from that Slickdeal a few days ago.

I have never owned a drone but curious if this one is good for these uses:
-Just for fun. Can kids fly this?
-Investigating if that's a hole in the soffit for mice, or just moss that needs cleaning, etc.
-Follow me or kids on bikes, 4 wheelers, sleds, etc.
-Maybe terrorize some wasp nests in a tough spot
