I bought one of these many years ago and am quite happy with it. If you want to digitize your old records, or need it because you bought a receiver or integrated amp of some type that doesn't have a phone input (preamp), as many don't because turntables went out of fashion with the advent of CDs way back when, and streaming now, of course, I recommend it. May want to do some research first as I did mine, like I said, many years ago.

If you want one of these, get this deal! It's an everyday price at Amazon but delivery is 2 - 4 weeks away. This is a great phono preamp. See https://www.audiosciencereview.co...amps.3457/

bought this phono pre-amp many yrs. back for around the same price and still use it quite often on a secondary bedroom turntable setup. and i can vouch for it being of quality one of the best bang for buck deals when it comes to phono pre-amps. i consider myself a audio/vinyl enthusiast and have compared this to more expensive phono pre-amps and this holds its own and produces quality sound. i'm sure some audiophile would talk crap about it but those types will always have something negative to say if something is not as expensive as their gear.

Note that this one doesn't have USB output for digitization. ART has a different model that does:

I've purchased plenty of ART's headamps recently w/in the past 10-15 years and also a mic tube preamp back in 2005 which I still use to this day so w/o a doubt I can wholeheartedly vouch that any products that come out of this company have my stamp of approval.

I beg to differ. This phono preamp doesn't light a candle next to my "Behringer U-Phono UFO202 Phono Preamp" I bought on sale for $10 from Sweetwater back in 2021. Lol, j/k. I actually have a warm spot for ART in my heart.

Curious if this would be a better option than my record player onboard preamp. Audio technica lp60.

It is if you bypass the onboard preamp. Takes a little bit of surgery to do this, but well worth it.

I've owned one for years. These used to be $20-30. There's no power off switch. For those with an older record player and a receiver with no pre-amp, this is a relatively easy and inexpensive fix.

I'm pretty clueless with all this, but I thought you just flip the phono/line switch on the back to bypass the integrated pre-amp?

If you use the switch, the audio signal is still going thru the integrated amp. You have to physically bypass this to unlock the true audio signal. The only way to do this is to remove the integrated amp and have the audio lines go directly to an external amp. There are great tutorial videos on youtube on how to do this.

Dang I totally missed the boat on this deal. I've been a fan of this brand since the late 1990s. I wanted a new phono preamp to replace the cheapo one I have.
