Merrell's Thermo Chill 2 Mid Waterproof boots are being praised as a true to size winter hiking boot with a roomy toe box and wide size options. The fit is described as comfortable for long wear, and Merrell sizing is said to line up with Nike for some. The main caveat is sizing inconsistency, with reports that some Merrell models run narrow or small and may require going up a full size. Color and stock are also limited, with Calcite sold out and Diorite priced higher.
The boots are reportedly true to size and fit wide feet without feeling too narrow.
The toe box reportedly is not narrow, which can help prevent a cramped feel.
The deal can be improved with coupon stacking, since EXTRA40 reportedly applies to Coldpack Thermo Moc 3 items.
The boots reportedly feel comfortable for doing miles, based on prior Merrell comfort experience.
The deal appears to be expired in practice, with higher pricing and missing sizes for the shown deal amount.
Sizing can reportedly run small for some Merrell models, with guidance to go up a full size and possibly add a new insole.
Calcite color reportedly is completely out of stock, which limits availability for the advertised option.
The sole may feel like hard plastic, and stiffness is unclear from the listing.
