Any opinions on this car seat? I see it reaches up to 50-lbs. How does this compare to the Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 like smoothness with tightening straps and installation? Also, if you do have this car seat, what car do you have.?They seem to need more space than other car seats in terms of the space between the back and front seats, but they seem convenient. I know with the Graco, you can't have the seat touching the front seat.

I recently purchased 2 such car seats, compared the options available and this was the only slim option I had looked at (in-store display test). They are really slimmer than regular seats. For my choice, i stuck with regular seats (Chicco).I moved to these kind of seats from using EvenFlo Gold infant car seat. - Gold is definitely their higher tiered option and I would do the upgrade to gold over their regular - material used, comfort, premium dedicated support etc.I have 2 Chicco on middle row bench seat. Yes you need extra space with Front row for rear facing phase. With 2 seats on the bench - they both can't rotate fully as intended but however much rotation still helps.Oh with 2 regular seats put the middle seat is basically useless

For these car seats if you are doing rear facing, you cannot and should not let it touch the front seat. It's not safe during a crash. The convenience here is to not have to bend your back to put your kid in the car seat. These are best imo for 4 door sedans since you won't have much room to maneuver a kid in the back seat vs a minivan or suv. Cannot compare it to a graco, never had one. Do note, if you are NOT using the car seat, still lock them in forward or rear facing. If you do not and you get into an accident, the car seat may launch and become a projectile. I personally love mine, I have it in an SUV and have both the regular and the slim. Both still do take a good width of space.
