It's pretty good. Progression is pretty slow paced but it's pretty unique in the farming/life sim space with its open world. Kinda like Harvest Moon and Breath of the Wild had a baby.

PSA for anybody who cares and doesn't know: This series is not the Harvest Moon games of old (64, Friends of Mineral Town, etc.) Originally, the Japanese company (Marvelous) that made all the old HM games used a separate company (Natsume) to do all of their English translations. Then in 2014 they got big enough to start doing the localizations with their own publisher. Natsume however owned the name "Harvest Moon" as a video game, so they decided to ride the goodwill of the Marvelous games and start making their own "Harvest Moon" games, even though they have nothing to do with the old ones. They are in my opinion significantly worse. Marvelous still makes games in the series, under the new banner "Story of Seasons".
Point being, if you remember the old games and want to see how they are in the modern day, this is not that.

The Natsume games have gotten better and the Marvelous games have stagnated. IMHO.
