Aluminum will be just fine for light household stuff. It'll also be lighter to carry to wherever

I bought this ladder a year ago for work around the house. It's been taking me to heights I've never reached before

Aluminum is better for general use it's lighter. Fiberglass is non conductive so it's crucial for electrical work. I've been specifically waiting for an aluminum deal to pop up.

Does Lowes or Home Depot ever put the 10' step ladders on sale?
I've been watching ladder prices fluctuate for about 2 months now & all the deals always seem to be 8' & under.

I'm never going fiberglass again. Carrying around 8-10ft fiberglass ladders from garage to the yard is not fun. I grab the aluminum every chance I get.

Seeing a lot of weight comments for FG vs AL. Looks like only a 3-5lb difference on a 6 foot ladder depending on the model.

The more stable feeling while on the ladder is worth it for me personally.

For people that may have weight restraints in terms of what they can lift, aluminum gets the job done!

A 10 foot stepladder is going to tend to slot into the commercial use category at the big box stores, even though it has uses outside of that category. Big box hardware stores, except for Menards maybe, don't tend to have "sales" in this category. Just my experience.

This deal is pretty old, so seems dead. Hopefully $79 is not the new lowest price
