I have the Oregon self sharpening 18" chainsaw and would never consider buying another electric chainsaw unless it also had a self sharpening feature, because that single feature is awesome.

I wanted to like that one but the one Amazon sold me was a dud. The chain wouldnt move and no the safety switch was not on. It smelled like smoke when trying to turn it on. Ended up returning it and not getting another one.

Sorry that happened I got mine from Amazon 3 years ago and use it to cut up trees once they already down on my property which is heavy Forrest. Easily have used it to cut up 50 plus various size trees did eventually have to replace the chain once.

From a business standpoint I am surprised, except for maybe heavy-duty rotary hammers and similar, handheld corded tools are still in existence
