For gaming at 1080p or 1440p: 9800X3D. For gaming at 4K it makes no difference.

Its about $10 cheaper if you happen to be close to a Central Computers [centralcomputer.com] or a Microcenter [microcenter.com]. $450 [microcenter.com] at Microcenter with a MSI X870E-P Pro WiFi [msi.com] mobo.
The sucker has 120W TDP and doesn't come with a cooler. I wonder how cheap I can go with a fan without thermal throttling.

I have a Thermalright Phantom Spirit on it, keeps up just fine.

True story. The majority of the X3D gains are seen at 1080p and those gains diminish in scale as you move to 1440p and then 4k.

Why does the title say Radeon Graphics Processor? This is a CPU, not a GPU.

All AM5 CPUs have at least a low end iGPU, except for F models.

That looks like a pretty serious bit of kit. The thing weighs 2 lb. and eats 2.4 watts by itself. And its RGB cousin [amazon.com] sips 7 watts, that's more than the CPU on my always-on N150 server. Of course I won't be running it 24/7 unless I decide to heat my office in the winter by looking for ET [wikipedia.org].

All Socket AM5 CPUs (7000, 8000, 9000 series) [reddit.com] have an iGPU, if they are not marked with the letter F. (Ryzen 5 7500F for instance). But thats clearly discribed in any product information if the CPUs.

The so called "Integraded Radeon Graphics" that are build in all the non-G CPUs, is a rather weak graphics accelerator. It consists of just 2 Compute Units of the RDNA 2 architecure. Its just designed for multimedia desktop usage other than gaming and can be very helpful in troubleshooting.
