Great price but WiFi is the way to go with these things as I've tried the bluetooth ones and they lose connection easily unless you are near the unit.

I totally agree, and I was in the market for a wireless one after my old thermometer stopped working in a snow storm! I couldn't pass this deal up, though

I've had terrible performance and customer service from this brand so it's a pass for me. I see 2 units available at this price with pickup at Gilford, NH 03249 if someone is local.

dunno about the layout of your house but the area i use mine has all these big metal boxes built into the walls that aren't exactly antennas

it's almost like folks here that actually have the bluetooth version from this brand are clearly stating that they aren't ideal and for some reason you're suggesting they're wrong?
