They are.

The differences between cards mostly amounts to a rounding error. In previous generations, sometimes the high end cards had useful extras (USBC video output on the card itself was one big one), but nowadays, it's another 20 mhz speed, a 1% performance gain, and some extra marketing materials or LED lights on the unit; that's it.

For most, it's not worth spending a dime extra on - buy on price, get the cheapest model with the chip you want.

For a specific example, if the choice is between a "higher end" 9070 vs getting the lowest end 9070XT, the 9070XT low-end card will be faster (far, far faster) every time. It's not even close.

One of the highest binned chips, most likely. Higher quality silicone capable of higher overclocks without errors or crashing.

Review for this specific card: https://www.kitguru.net/component...il-review/

In their OC testing the Sapphire Nitro+ did better, but we're talking 1-2 FPS at the most. Within margin of error, IMO.

Correct for pretty much everything - one thing I will point out - I HAD a Reaper model and currently have 5 PC's in the house with Hellhound models (I know the Red Devil sits above those) - performancewise you are spot on, the Red Devil would be better but for most gamers not mind blowing.

THE IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE! - is how much quieter these models are than the Reaper model - I sit in a room with 5 of our PC's gaming and we all are using Hellhounds - and the GPU's are relatively silent even in full blown gaming sessions compared to how loud the Reaper would occasionally get. Reviews seem to say similar as well when comparing the products.

If the sound profile is important to you then be aware - for our household it was important because 5 of us gaming at the same time would get ridiculous with fan noise (I built every PC to maximize the balance between cooling and not being loud blowers - lots of high CFM/static pressure fans at low RPM - so getting GPU's that didn't ruin that came into play while also being good performers).
Actually, the test on the Reaper show it is rather quiet which is surprising since the card is so small. However, usually this is the case as this card has a larger heatsink.

Would not touch a Powercolor brand GPU with a 10' pole.
I'm not the only one that remembers the bad times then?

This is Red Devil not Reaper.

I'm torn between this one and the Asrock Taichi. I can't decide.

Those are the only two cards that unfortunately chose to use a 16-pin (12V-2x6) power connector rather than using multiple 8-pin connectors.
While the 9070 XT draws less power than 4090 & 5090 cards that have been melting these connectors there have been instances with both the Taichi and Nitro+.
Many instances can be blamed on using adapters rather than a PSU that directly supports native 16-pin (12V-2x6) and failing to properly seat connectors.

I got the power color reaper a few weeks back, is this better than that? I thought they were all literally the same card
They come in different sizes with different cooling systems and power requirements to fit in a range of applications. Not everyone has a case large enough to fit this red devil. It's huge! More than double the size of your Reaper. And requires an additional power connection. The chip running the show is the same though. Performance difference is around 3-4%.

This card, the Hellhound for $570, or an ASRock 9070 XT Challenger, considering that the Challenger came out at $509? I'm not talking about performance, I'm talking about quality and durability, temperatures, etc.

That's the middle tier Hellhound SKU. But it is a better value if you have an Amazon Prime Visa because they are offering 10% back on that card. Ordered one several days ago. Will be here on the 17th. Wanted another Reaper because that one is a dual slot. But with the 10% back, the Hellhound ended up being a few bucks cheaper than the Reaper was at its $599.99 MSRP, even after taxes. I wouldn't pay > $50 more for the Red Devil over the Hellhound.

I'd say google the differences, the Challenger is heir lowest level card and I recall some issues, check on this versus hellhound.

I've wondered how much merit this actually holds bc I've owned two different red devil cards in recent times and both were unstable AF. I run an A+ tier rated PSU etc and have excellent air flow in every system i build so i know its not that. Even the noise on the cooler is louder than expected, especially on the 6800 XT. And then there is the coil noise. Makes me wonder why i spent the premium. Doubt ill go red devil for my next card.

They're the same chips but other companies take the chips and build the rest of the stuff around it
