Merrell Moab 3 Mid Waterproof boots are a familiar hiking boot with a roomy fit, sturdy feel, and strong mileage for some wearers, including pairs that have gone 200 miles and kept performing well. The wide sizing is especially useful for hard to fit feet, and the brand still has a solid reputation for trail use. The main cautions are durability and waterproofing, with reports of leaking, sole separation, and even discomfort after heavy use. Stock and sizes are also thin, and the promo code is not working for some listings.
Common Questions (5)
They are marketed as waterproof, but some wearers report water resistance rather than full waterproofing, with leaks appearing after months of use. The waterproof and non-waterproof versions are both sold, so it helps to verify the exact model before buying.
Some pairs have held up very well, including one that reached at least 200 miles and was described as excellent. Other reports mention soles separating after a few wears or leaks developing after months, so durability can vary by pair.
Yes, the Moab 3 line includes wide sizes and is one of the few hiking boots some wide-footed shoppers can fit comfortably. If you need extra room, the wide option is the safer pick over standard width.
The promo code was reported as not working, and the remaining sizes were very limited. If the size you want is still available, it may be worth checking out quickly or trying the listing again later.
No, the linked reviews appear to be for different shoes or colors, including mentions of steel toe and a Coyote color that do not match this Merrell listing. Those reviews may not apply to the specific Moab 3 model being sold here.

And the reviews talk about the steel toe feature and color 'Coyote" and things that do not exist in the Merrell listing and color options for this particular shoe make. The long detailed reviews seem to be about other shoes.

I don't worry about reviews for these because I've owned several pairs that have been fantastic, and a lot of people in my industry swear by them. Until they let me down, I'll keep buying more when they wear out.
