  • Note: Potential dealbreaker for some - This device only has Widevine Level 3 DRM support, which means it does not support higher than standard definition (480p) on certain streaming services such as Netflix, among others. YouTube resolution can be scaled to HD and beyond, however. Widevine Level 1 allows HD and up resolution support on Netflix, etc. (which this particular device doesn't have).

Dang just paid $90 for the lincplus t3 tablet with similar specs for the kids. T3 has 6gb ram though. They use it solely to play mobile games. Anyone know if the extra 2gb ram makes that much of a difference?
nvm, oos anyway

Yes, 6gb of ram makes a difference especially for games.

That's crazy. If it wasn't for this and this was at least 6gb I'd get this.

It's funny Walmarts tablet is such a POS. They have a chance to really enter the tablet market like what they did to the streaming tv box.

Thanks for posting downside of this tablet. If it didn't have the limitation it'd be a much better deal.

I bought when it was a new unit for 50 bucks on deal.

An app i have noted the 2000x but 1110 pixels in height (landscape mode), not 1200.

Still, nice screen and fairly smudge-proof.

Fast enough for my use which is mostly browsing and email. I don't care about resolutions for the few vids i may watch....

my eyes aren't great anyway! When text start getting blurry on my tv, i just buy a bigger one.

What I don't like is it updated to android 14 and 14 has some odd behaviors vs. 13...

Can you please explain?

There has not been one person that got hacked due running an older version of Android.. such as 11,12,13, etc...

So not one single person of the BILLIONS of phones that are running older versions of Android... but you state it is UNSAFE TO USE LONGTERM... WHY? and back it up WITH FACTS!!! What you are describing is a MYTH so people will spend more money and buy newer and newer stuff.

This was HOT!!!!

The G99 is the CHEAPEST CPU one should buy today to give you a good android experience. 4GB of RAM is bad but for $54... you can not complain.

As long as you run one app at a time, try to have as few windows opened in chrome.

I like the app KILLSAPP, I even paid for it... (only paid for three apps in my life). I think this is a MUST if you have low RAM and a slow CPU.

Really... this is an AMAZING DEAL for the price. It can play games and stuff... it is decent.

This device only has Widevine Level 3 DRM support...

With SO MANY unethical ways to stream 1080p content... this is not even an issue for most people.

You can read all the security bulletins here: https://source.android.com/docs/s...b-overview

The severity levels are listed and which bugs are actively being exploited. You're asking for proof of victims like proof of car accidents. You're not going to find 10,000 news articles about every victim. Every day people are having their data stolen on unsecure devices without even knowing. It can be from apps right on the Play Store too.

I don't need to read through this...

Again, there is not one documented case of a "regular" person who got their phone hacked using Android 11, 12, 13, 14, etc... because their phone was not updated.

I will say it again... but in capital letters... NOT ONE DOCUMENTED CASE... with the billions of phones out their and with all the chatter about having security updates are so important ect... THERE IS NOT ONE, NOT ONE DOCUMENTED case that someone got their phone hacked because their phone is no longer supported with updates.

SO KNOWING not one documented case exists... who cares about your security bulletins.

WHY... even though there are a approximately 1.2 BILLION android phones in use that are not getting any updates... I ask again, show me ONE CASE JUST ONE CASE that a person got hacked for doing nothing and it was because their phone was not up to date. I give you the entire world to look at... show me ONE case in one country. I bet you can not.... I know you cannot.

And you can add an estimated 200 million android tablets that are also out of date and still in use.

Look I am NOT LOOKING FOR 10,000 NEWS ARTICLES ABOUT ONE VICTiM. I am looking for ONE STORY regarding the 1.6 BILLION devices that are not getting any more security updates but I want a story of a REAL person who got hacked cause their system was not up to day.. again... NOT TEN THOUSAND but just ONE.
