This price is great. I really WANT to try mirrorless, but I have a D610, D750 and 24-70 f/2.8 and 70-200 f/4.

I wish I felt like I was missing more. Feels like I just have to ride these till the wheels fall off.

This is a great deal even for a camera that's a bit older. The Z5 and Z6 usually go for around $500-600 on eBay/FB Marketplace.

Pick up a used 24-70 f/4 S for $400 and you should be good to start out.

I have a Sony a7mk2 and a ton of Alpha mount lenses as well as FE but have no time to really use it except for occasional kid school event. Dies it make sense to sell it all and switch to this w/ maybe 2 to 3 lenses?

Seems more like a side grade to me in most ways.

Any recommendations on alternatives to Nikon FTZ II adapter for F mount lenses? Coming from a D300 with some AF-S G and full frames.
I have both the FTZ II adapter and the viltrox NF-Z adapter. I don't see any discernible performance difference between the two. I was able to grab the viltrox adapter for around 60$ on Ali Express and a used FTZ ii adapter for 150$ on Facebook marketplace.

In for the Z30 with the kit lens as my first mirrorless camera.

Coming from Nikon D600 and haven't been shooting for awhile now.

Looking to get a prime lens to go with the Z30. Is 24mm/f1.7 is the lens to buy?
Got the z30 one lens deal a few weeks ago just for traveling and playing with mirrorless. It turns out that I really like it and use it almost everyday. Much easier to carry than my D800. Also got the viltrox 25mm f1.7 during the cyber deal for only $140. So far it's pretty good! There are many reviews show that it's very close to the nikkor 24mm f1.7 with half the cost. I also plan to get the nikkor 50mm f1.8 S, so many positive reviews online and would be a good portrait lens for z30 for less than $500.

I'd keep the a7 and sell all but your favorite 2-3 lenses

Thanks. New to this, any recommendation on the FTZ II adapter?
The used Nikon ftz is only 160. Very well made , been using it for 2 yrs.

The viltox ftz is 68-140. I didn't like it, its cheaply made. 50/50 its defect, can't put a heavy 70-200 2.8. may fry the zfc. Maybe good as a spare and light lenses

I'm looking at the 24-70 f4 and 28-75 f2.8. Any thoughts between the 2?
I don't have the Nikon Z 24-70mm f/2.8, but I've been very happy with the f/4 version. I also own a D850 along with the Tamron G2 and Sigma Art 24-70 f2.8 lenses, so I've been reluctant to add another Z lens since I can still use them with the FTZ adapter. The Nikon 24–70mm f/2.8 (refurbished) is currently heavily discounted—about $1,400 off—but many reviews say the Tamron and Sigma options still offer better value.

Unless you specifically need the larger f/2.8 setup, I'd recommend sticking with the f/4. It's lighter, easier to carry, and much easier on your wallet.

Stick with a6400 or a73 or better. .if you don't use it often , why upgrade?

Call them they'll honor it when they get more stock.

Can't speak to exact lens, but since this is a DX crop Senor that 24mm will be close to the "nifty 50" equivalent and is very usable for people and everyday things. On my old DX7100 the DX 24mm prime was phenomenal value for the glass.

You're coming from full frame D600, not sure how nice glass you had on that. But I am a fan of the Nikon color reproduction and excited to use for video content now.
Nope it's actually at 36mm in crop mode.
And you only get DX mode 2 ways. Forcing it or using a lens that forces it.
But a 24 cropped is still 36.
