Why are the airpods 4 cheaper by over half? I am entirely uninformed, so all I know is usually later generations are more expensive, and assume airpods 4 are the newer gen than airpods 3? I see airpods 4 on this site for $99?

They actually felt like more of a DOWNGRADE for me personally. Far less comfortable, less battery life overall (24h vs 30h with the case), larger and cheaper feeling case, as well as a rather extreme ANC high pitch whistle issue on the APP3s that is not present on my APP2s or the original Pros (in my personal use anyway), which hopefully can be fixed with a software update. The AirPods 4 are the base or "budget" models. Not to be confused with the "Pro" models which have more features along with higher price tag.
  • AirPods 4 vs AirPods Pro 3.
  • AirPods 4 are the latest non-pro model and the AirPods Pro 3 are the latest Pro model.

That's good to know, I was on the fence about getting this as a gift for someone. Will probably get the APP2 instead.

how are you guys buying $200 worth of GC - costco online only has $50 GC and allows buying two GC per transaction and limits one such transaction every 14 days... annoyingly i do not see the best buy discount on my account
