I've owned both generations of sprocket printer as well as the Canon ivy 2 and liene. I like the magnetic lid and the always on capability so you can print on the to without needing to turn it on every time. The charging port is still micro B though. I wish they'd update this model.

This is interesting. So it doesn't need ink, just its photo paper? Kind of like a Polaroid? How is the print quality? TIA.

DO you like this one better than the Ivy? I ordered this HP one for a gift.

unlike a polaroid, it's a thermal print. you get the photo "developed" much faster. the quality isn't quite as good (none are in the instant photo category), but very passable for the use case.

they both have their pros and cons. unfortunately I haven't found a "perfect" zink printer yet. The ivy has an annoying habit of the cover popping off while it's in your bag, because it's only attached with a small latch, you press the lid forward against the printer body. It doesn't take much for the lid to pop off. The sprocket is attached with magnets and lifts straight off instead of sliding. I think the print quality is marginally better on the Ivy 2. not enough to warrant switching. I've struggled with the app connecting, more times with the Canon over the HP.
