I wonder how much wattage this would provide to a pixel 10 pro XL

It tends to overheat the phone I've observed. Charging via the cable will always be more efficient and better for the battery.

Are you referring to this charger, or saying wireless charging in general is a problem? While I agree that technically wired charging is more efficient, I haven't had heat problems with the 5 different qi2 chargers I've used so far.

Wireless charging in general probably, especially on Pixel phones. Had to replace two batteries due to physical bloating from using exclusively wireless charging at my nightstand.

That's pretty odd. I've been checking my phone's temp while wireless charging and my Pixel 10 Pro XL and it stays below 100C which is safe IMO.

Using an Apple Qi2.2 Charger.

i've had this charger for a while and it actually works pretty well. keeps the phone cool with the fan on though you can also just turn it off (and its really not very hot anyway). fan is like a laptop fan level of noise if anyone was wondering.

I guess you meant 100F? Even 100F consistently, while not dangerous, is goiing to hurt the battery. For normal charging by cable indoors- the temperature is usually below 30 Celsius.
Especially if you charge at 20W or below.

Wireless charging LONG term will be significantly worse than wired charging for the phone battery.

Sorry, yes I mean under 100F. It's usually ~97F while charging.

I keep my charge at around 30% to 70% so hopefully that offsets the degradation by heat. I'm still surprised the batteries became bloated from wireless charging though.

That's nonsense... Yes of course it's more efficient wire charging but it's not bad for the battery. In fact I would say most of the time wireless charging is less wattage so that is better for the battery. Slow charging is always better for the battery.

Not true. Wired charging can be low wattage too. For example at 15V of Wired charging the phone termperature is below 25 Celisus and the phone still charges pretty fast.
The only time the wired charging has high temperatures is if the phone is charging at 45W or 36W (or whatever max charge rate the phone supports).

15W of wired charging vs 12 W of wireless charging : The phone is at least 10-15 celsius cooler with wired charging.

Well yeah of course you can have slow wired charging. When I said "slow charging is always better for the battery" I was meaning that is for both wired and wireless. The heat from wireless charging is not generated from the battery like most here are implying. The heat is coming from the coils which are very close to the battery. IMO the best way to charge is the way Pixels do the "adaptive charging" wirelessly. It's wireless so it doesn't mess up your usb port and it's slow. Like taking all night to charge slow. I never charge mine past 80% also which helps with battery life.

Wireless is always a bit more wasteful, but the inui that is a stand doesn't get hot, I think the horizontal ones get warmer as there is no air flow.
