My only complaint is at times it doesn't make a good connection in the cigarette port so I have to twist it around until it makes contact. But other than that it's an awesome charger.

To try to improve the connection on the contacts, with the power off, take a rag with rubbing alcohol on it and rub inside the lighter adapter to clean the metal contacts.

No. Esp if you have recent batteries, with start/stop tech. The sentry functions vary, but usually are in low power mode until it detects movement or vibration.
