Does anyone like the new "touch control" they're rolling out on earbuds now?

Hate them. I run with them and put a stocking hat or headband over them... I just want them to play whatever comes from the phone. I don't need to stop the podcast, change volume, etc.

I am not sure what you call 'new' touch control, but I have been using them on the earbuds for a few years, and I like them; in fact, I need them to stop/start podcast/YT. Also, to pick up incoming calls, Teams calls, etc. Last week I bought open ear type (not this brand but similar), and I am so impressed with the convenience, quality of sound, and not falling out of the ear that I ordered another one of that kind.

At this price, I am thinking of ordering this so I can have one for each of my iPhone, iPad, and PC (I work from home and need to be on call pretty much all the time). Note that the touch control on this open ear type took a little learning as it is not like ear bud flat surface, but once I understood, it is very easy and simple. I am no expert, but I think this open ear type uses bone conduction vs the ear buds using the direct ear canal, and now I just use 1-2 level volume, which is enough vs regular button earbuds require 5-7 levels.

The BC1's were so awful sounding, hopefully these are a bit better.

No, they are open for not fully blocking your hearing, which has compromised sound, but for some situations its what you want.

Vine voices aren't paid like you think. They're given the items free, but the value of the item is considered taxable income in most cases. And there's no benefit to reviewing positively.

That's how I know it works.
Getting it free is a payment. Which is why it's taxed.
I take it you do Vine

Got mine today. Mostly seems fine. No first-use sticker on the buds, so wouldn't be surprised if these were returns. Battery life on the case is bad, though, or maybe just poorly calibrated. It started at 100%, but just taking out the earbuds and using them for a few minutes, then putting them back in have dropped the case down to 87% already. Earbuds feel very cheap and plasticky, but sound okay, at least, and are pretty comfortable

edit: getting occasional static during music playback now, even right next to the transmitting device. Oh well, back to Amazon these go
