Easier option is to just withdraw all FSA/HSA funds by year end and claim in on your taxes, govt doesn't audit for it

Sounds good...but the items I want are marginally 'on sale' for 10% off, so FSA25 won't apply (since the item is not 'regular priced'). Always some sort of disqualification for the coupons... (and I can't force it to charge full price to get FSA25 to apply). The sad thing is, Amazon is cheaper regular price than Walgreens with 25% off, even!!

Not if you know how to coupon 😉

Utilize manufacturer coupons and Walgreens boosters to make a dollar stretch.

I stopped using FSAs exactly because of this end of year spend it or lose it game.
It was such a scam to see money taken out each paycheck - tax free or not - only to then be forced to spend it all in late December on absolutely useless junk I'd never otherwise buy.

I remember buying a bunch of insulin testing kits that I thought I'd resell on eBay (but are sitting in the closet 10 years later). Or that girlfriend who got a pair of $500 Chanel sunglasses for Xmas, after which we broke up never to see each other again. Great times.

Get HSA, not FSA. HSA is a good investment vehicle, triple tax benefits, and keep funds forever, no loss
