If you can find an Ultra 3 new for <$660 go for that instead. Due to a limitation of six years for updates, divide the purchase price by number of years of updates left. In this case 550÷5. Also consider that they will lose 5-10% of the battery capacity the first year, and 5% per year thereafter.

I would get whichever is cheaper 2 or 3. Its damn near the same watch functionally and visually as far as 98% of how the gen pop uses it. Though it should be cheaper.
Bought mine new about 1 year ago for the cheapest I could get less than 700 which was a great price brand new. Through Consumer Cellular. So if you're not concerned about 2 vs 3 this is a good deal. Love my watch. I was a hard sell - my first Apple Watch, and I'm learning cool stuff about it all the time.

Go with Apple Watch Ultra 2 if you want a tough, full-featured smartwatch without overspending for everyday use, workouts, etc., it already does everything you want.Go with Ultra 3 if you care about the newest features: a bigger/brighter screen, longer battery life, and extra tricks for outdoor or travel.
Solid watch. I've been rocking the 2 since it came out and the battery health is still at 98% max battery after all this time. Also this model has the onboard O2 monitoring which some versions do not have, I see no need to upgrade past this one unless there is some real difference in the Ultra 4 or beyond.

An important thing to note is that the bigger screen and longer battery life are very, very minimal. If the Ultra 2 is cheap enough (~$550 or less), it is the better buy.
