I stick these upside down under shelves in pantries, closets and cabinets. When you open the door the shelves light up.

I have similar lights (no remote, but rechargeables); under my kitchen sink storage cabinet. Another at the top turn of my stairs when I don't want to turn the light on, helps me not fall & kill myself. Another at the entrance to my "Florida room"; unheated enclosed porch where the light switch is located inside the house (meaning no light switch when entering from outside).
And another in a utility closet.

No problem finding uses for these for me 😂

I got these a while back under the Amazon Vine program. $10 is about the max you'd want to pay, but I will say these are more consistent in operation than the other 4 or 5 sets I've tried. I don't use the remote for the most part - I just stick them in a dark closet and do the automagical thing. For that they work well.

Got a roll of magnetic tape, put a square on the wall and one on the back of the light.
