This is shovelware masquerading as a proper M&L game. I gave it so so much patience and got all the way to the final (actual final) castle place and said I can't take it anymore.

This is not a good game. I wouldn't recommend this to you if it were 20$. It is not worth your time. If you're like 8 maybe it's good for 20$.

But you know what else 20$ could do? Go towards Paper Mario 2 - an infinitely better game.

you're right. Here's more evidence from IGN 5 out of 10.

I love Mario but whew this game was a friggin chore to get through. It took me over 60 hours to beat the main game. I actually think it was around 80 hours total. Extremely repetitive and most of the moves you can use don't get unlocked till about 40% of the way in so you have like 20-30 hours of playtime doing the same move sets over and over and over. But I beat it. I actually just sold it on eBay yesterday for $30 lol

I didn't care for it in the beginning. Pushed through it and beat it. I wad glad I borrowed it and relieved to play something more fun after.

Paper Mario is great, both switch games (Origami King and Thousand-Year Door). I haven't gotten into games this deep for a while.
